Privacy Policy for AuraBuddy

Last updated: December 31, 2025

This Privacy Policy describes how AURACAPITAL PTE. LTD. ("AuraCapital", "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you and your child use our AuraBuddy service (the "Service").

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all our users, especially children. We will not sell your or your child's personal information to third parties.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Service, including children:

A. Personal Information We Collect from Parents/Guardians

To comply with child protection laws and ensure a safe environment, we primarily collect personal information directly from parents or legal guardians when they register an account for their child or provide consent. This may include:

  • Parent Account Information: When a parent/guardian registers for an account, we collect their name, email address, and password.
  • Billing Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing details such as your credit card number, billing address, and other payment information. This information is processed by our third-party payment processor and is not stored directly on our servers.
  • Communications: When you (the parent/guardian) communicate with us (e.g., customer support inquiries, feedback), we collect the content of those communications and your contact information.

B. Limited Personal Information We Collect from Children (with Parental Consent)

When a child uses the Service with parental consent, we may collect limited personal information from them, specifically what is necessary for the core functionality of the Service. This may include:

  • Child Profile Information: A unique username (which should not be the child's full name), avatar choices, and other non-identifying profile details created by the parent or child.
  • User Content: Any information, data, text, drawings, sound, photographs, or other materials your child uploads, creates, or otherwise makes available through the Service, provided it is age-appropriate and within the confines of the Service's design. We endeavour to limit the collection of personal information within user-generated content.

C. Information We Collect Automatically from All Users (including children):

When you or your child access and use the Service, we may automatically collect certain information about the device and usage patterns. This information is primarily used for the internal operations of the Service, such as providing and maintaining the Service, ensuring security, and improving functionality, and is generally not linked directly to an identifiable child.

  • Log Data: This may include device IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, access times, and how the Service is interacted with.
  • Device Information: Information about the device used to access the Service, including hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (e.g., web beacons, pixels) solely for essential operational purposes of the Service (e.g., maintaining login status, remembering progress) and to track activity for internal analytics to improve the Service. We do not use cookies or tracking technologies for behavioural advertising targeting children.
    • Cookies are small data files placed on your device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.
    • Examples of Cookies we use:
      • Essential Cookies: To operate our Service (e.g., maintain session, track game progress).
      • Preference Cookies: To remember basic user preferences (e.g., volume settings).
      • Security Cookies: For security purposes.

2. Parental Consent for Children's Data Collection

We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without parental consent.

Before any personal information (beyond what is necessary for internal operations) is collected from your child, we will obtain verifiable consent from you, the parent or legal guardian. Methods for obtaining verifiable parental consent may include:

  • Requesting a credit card or other payment method for verification (with a nominal charge or authorization that is immediately reversed).
  • Checking a government-issued identification against a database.
  • Requiring a signed consent form via mail, email attachment, or other digital means.
  • A video conference with trained personnel.

Once verifiable consent is obtained, we will provide you with information about the types of personal information collected from your child, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.

3. How We Use Your and Your Child's Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, always prioritizing the safety and privacy of children:

  • To Provide and Maintain the Service: To operate, maintain, and improve our Service, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical, and survey purposes.
  • To Manage Parent Accounts: To manage your registration as a parent/guardian and to provide you with access to controls and information related to your child's use of the Service.
  • To Process Payments: To process your (the parent's) transactions and manage your subscriptions.
  • To Communicate With You (Parent/Guardian): To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages related to the Service or your child's account. We will not use children's contact information for marketing.
  • For Customer Support: To provide customer support and respond to your (parent/guardian) inquiries.
  • For Personalization: To personalize the experience within the Service for your child, based on their progress and preferences, without using personal information for behavioural advertising.
  • For Analytics and Improvement: To monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Service and to improve its functionality and user experience. This data is primarily collected in an aggregated or anonymised form that does not identify individual children.
  • For Security: To detect, prevent, and address technical issues and protect against fraudulent or illegal activity.
  • To Enforce our Terms: To enforce our Terms of Service and other policies.
  • For Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal processes, particularly those related to children's online privacy (e.g., COPPA).

4. How We Share Your and Your Child's Information

We do not sell your or your child's personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With Service Providers: We may share your (parent/guardian) information and your child's limited personal information with third-party vendors, consultants, and other service providers who perform services on our behalf and require access to such information to do so. These services include payment processing, hosting, internal analytics (not behavioural advertising), customer support, and email delivery to parents. These service providers are obligated to protect the information and use it only for the purposes for which it was disclosed. We ensure these providers adhere to strict privacy standards appropriate for children's data.
  • For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your or your child's information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency), to the extent permissible by law, especially those protecting children's privacy.
  • To Protect Our Rights: We may disclose your or your child's information to enforce our Terms of Service, protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public, and to detect and prevent fraud or other illegal activities.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your or your child's information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you (the parent/guardian) via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service of any change in ownership or uses of your or your child's personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.
  • With Your (Parent's) Consent: We may share your or your child's information with third parties when we have your explicit consent to do so.
  • Aggregated or Anonymised Data: We may share aggregated or anonymised information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you or your child with third parties for various purposes, including business or research purposes, such as improving our Service or helping us understand general usage patterns.

5. Parent's Rights and Choices Regarding Children's Personal Information
